What is the price of the class?

Full-Day Class is €140/person.
Half-Day Pasta Class is €75/person.
 
The class fee is only payable in Euro.

Question 2

Is food and wine included in the price?

Yes, all food and wine is included in the price of the class.
A recipe booklet is also included in the full day class.

Is a deposit required to schedule the class?

A €25/person non refundable deposit is required to confirm the class.

Can we pay by credit card?

Sorry, we cannot accept credit cards or checks.Payment can be made in cash on the day of the class.

Do you provide transportation?

For the full day class - we meet in Cortona and it is the student's responsibility to meet there for menu planning and shopping. The location for the class is about 10 to 15 minutes from Cortona so we encourage students to have a car. If you don't have a car, we can sometimes provide transportation, depending of the number of people in the class that need it. We usually can work out a way to get students to the class and back to Cortona after so you won't have to hire a taxi but we can't guarantee it.
 
For the half day class - You will need to find a way to get to our location which is about 10 to 15 minutes from Cortona. We will send you 'Google Maps'  instructions in your confirmation letter.

Do you have lodging?

We do have an Agriturismo (vacation rental) calle Il Rifugio, it accommodates up to 10 people and we only book by the week from Saturday to Saturday. We can, however recommend a B&B.

Question 7

What about dietary constraints?

We are happy to accommodate people with dietary restrictions and food allergies but if there are other students in the class, there has to be a compromise. We can usually make enough verity of dishes that everybody is happy. The key is letting us know well in advance so we can plan accordingly.

Can just one person take the class?

There is a two person minimum requirement and a six person maximum, but can be more for family and friends. If there is already a class scheduled, we can add on a single person but we can't have a class for just one person.

Question 9

Is there an 'Eat Only' option?

Accepted Answer

We do not offer an 'Eat Only' option anymore, participation is required. We had this as an option in the past but it was often problematic coordinating the arrival of a non-participating paerson with the timing of serving the meal.

Do you have a Half-Day class?

Yes. We have a half day pasta making class. You will see the description on our Home Page.

Question 11

Are children allowed in the class?

Accepted Answer

The minimum age for students is 12. It has been our experience that children under 12 are often bored and cause a disturbance after a couple of hours and it isn't fair to the other students in the class. Also due to the fact that this is a hands-on class working with hot pans, sharp knives and counters that might be too high for children, we have come to the conclusion that there is a potential safety problem and the class is not appropriate for young children.

Do you have classes on the weekend?

Classes can not be held on Sundays or Italian holidays due to closed shops.
